Aussie Boutiques for Stateside Fashionistas!
If you’re anything like me then you’re always on the hunt for new boutiques online where you can find a few steals for your wardrobe. The convenience and comfort of shopping online is hard to beat especially if you’re one of the many college students that relies on Uber or your BFF with a car to get around town. Having grown up in Australia before moving to the United States, I miss shopping at some of my favorite boutiques back home. Australia, all the way on the other side of the hemisphere is often left undiscovered by Americans when shopping online. Australia is known for some of the most fashionable trends worldwide, sported annually at events like the Melbourne Cup or Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. It only seems logical to at least give Australia a chance and check out what unique pieces their online boutiques could add to your closet! Additionally, anything you purchase from down under is almost guaranteed to be worn by nobody but you. Today I continue to splurge on these sites due to my continued positive experiences with them and the reliable return/shipping policies they provide. Here are some of my favorites, from one Aussie girl to all of you!
First stop…Saboskirt. Talk about fashion to die for. I first discovered this site in my mid-teen years and let me tell you, they completely helped to revamp my wardrobe. Years later, I’ve been lucky enough to have rediscovered them while on the lookout to add some new pieces to my closet. And might I say that they’re selection of clothes has only improved with time, much like a fine wine. Saboskirt also recently released a Luxe collection they debuted at NYFW if you’re really looking to treat yourself.
Next stop…Forever New. It’s almost the Australian version of Forever 21, but not quite. Their prices definitely err on the loftier side, but the quality of their clothing is unbeatable, take it from me. Five years ago, I purchased a pair of stretchy denim jeans in store that I am still wearing today. They are somehow still completely intact and just as comfy as the day that I bought them. Forever New has so many gorgeous styles to choose from and they offer free shipping over just $50!
Third destination…White Fox Boutique. If you happen to be a follower of YouTube’s many beauty and fashion gurus then you might already be familiar with this one. Though I’ve only purchased a few things from this boutique let me tell you that my wallet is on standby when I’ve some extra cash to splurge. They offer a huge selection of super chic styles that are totally Instagram worthy!
Finally… Peppermayo. This is another ultimate favorite of mine. Peppermayo’s clothes are well priced, well made, and so cute...what more could you want? In Australia, Peppermayo was my version of Urban Outfitters before I even knew Urban Outfitters existed. Not only do they offer the latest trends in fashion but also super cute gifts from polaroid cameras to inflatable pizzas for the pool. You may want to hide your credit card for this one!
